Barcelona Day 1

Hello peeps!
Today I'm bringing you back to Spain. After the Mallorca trip with the girls, HsinYe and I decided that we should separate with the girls and stop by Barcelona for a short trip before we head back to London. So, here's the trip!

LOL! trying their tap water? Taste like metal... =/

La Rambla!

We had ice cream/ gelato almost everyday during the trip... Fatness overload!

#touristbeingtourist taking pictures while being very caution with the handbag.

The famous La Boqueria market. Too bad all the stalls are closing when we reach, apparently there's a lot of nice food there. =/

inside the market.

chocolates!! I mean expensive chocolates! (it cost us 11 euros for five pieces of chocolates... because the chocolates are counted by weight..so choose the smaller ones if you want to try more variety of it.)

Our expensive 11euros chocolate.

One of Barcelona's attractions which I don't understand about it. The dragon look like something we can simply find in chinatown. (someone please tell me the story behind this dragon)

I just realise why is the building behind slanting?? =/

Our very failed tapas, which I think La Bodega serve a better tapas than them.
Button mushroom with olive and patatas with "chili sauce" (which taste like thousand island sauce).
-___-||
Lesson learnt! Do not look for cheap restaurants, look for restaurants with reasonable price that serve good food!

Our squid ink paella.

Oh.. last but not least, my #ootd. Top: Primark // Pants & leather jacket : Topshop // Bag: Zara

Jump shot #1: La Rambla

Adios!

Amsterdam #2

Hello!!

I've posted about day 1 in Amsterdam. So it would be day 2 in Amsterdam today.

So this is our schedule:

1st stop: The famous Van Goh Museum
However we did not manage to enter as the queue outside is too long, too too long to queue especially we're only visiting for three days

2nd stop: The famous IAMsterdam signage? display?
To me, it's a must to take picture here cause #touristbeingtourist , if you don't take picture with that famous/significant display how are you gonna show people that you've been in Amsterdam before right??! *wink*

3rd stop: Some market
sorry I forgotten the name, I think its Albery Cuyp market, all I can remember it's walking distance to Heineken Experience. Another sad case here, when we reach the market, all the stalls are preparing to close already. (WTF!!)

4th stop: Heineken Museum Experience
Yes... It's a must for me (alcoholic/beer lover). Basically, my main motive of visiting the museum is not about understanding their history, but to custom-made my own Heineken bottle and to drink (obviously).
However, since this post is too long, I decided to dedicate another post about Heineken museum only. So nothing about beer factory today!

5th stop: Canalling (it is the right word for it? >=/)
I would say it's a must must activity when you're in Amsterdam. Because the view from the canal is so much nicer than from the road/land. And since Amsterdam have so many canals, why not try it right? =) Anyway, our canalling experience is part of the Heineken experience, so it's basically free!

6th stop: Meeting up with friends!
Finally, we can have the chance to meet up with our friends in Amsterdam. As I was saying in the previous post, my friend's uncle is quite strict, so after all the begging he finally let us out to be our friends for an hour! (WTF!! TWO HOURS???? better than none right? *self-pat*)

***

Anyway, just let the pictures do the talking while I'm trying to calm myself down again because mama is very agitated about this trip! I'm so gonna visit Amsterdam again and smoke all the weed and watch all the peep show~!!!!

Considered that I visited the museum already? LOL!

My best travel shoe! It has followed me to so many places... from KL to London to Europe.

Duh~! e for emilyccz

D for what? I'm not sure, but all I know I don't want to climb so high to pictures... so might as well squeeze into that whole right?

One of their "must try" dishes. Pickled Herring(raw).
Want to know about the taste? Look at my expression below.

Errr... Obviously I am not used to the taste. It is very fishy (obviously, since it's raw) and I couldn't finish everything. But I heard that everyone in Amsterdam loves it! Oh well~! different culture like different food right? I can't simply ask an Ang Moh to like to eat chicken feet or smelly taufu right?

Pofferjes.. its little pancakes covered icing/powdered sugar and some butter by the side. (I did not rub the butter with the pancakes thou, not really a fan of butter...)
All I could say this is HEAVEN FOOD!!! ( I miss it!!)

Last but not least, Stroopwafel ! Basically it's two thin waffle sandwich warm and runny caramel, and I had mine with extra chocolate topping. *yums*
(although you can simply get these in M&S, but this taste so much better when it's hot and warm)

I think this picture has the potential to become a postcard picture!! *more like self praise my own photo-taking skills* Hahaha!!

The space cupcake that we never get to eat!!!! Because uncle has kept it with him all the way and not letting us eat even when we're home. (grrrrrrrrr~~~~~~~!!!!)

oh well, no space cupcake... but we have some joints! (super thankful that uncle let us out to meet our friend, that two hours is better than none!)

Another heaven food! ice cream and fruits pancake with powdered sugar and whip cream.

How I wish that we can turn back time and play hopscotch in school again.

Oh well.. I guess that's all for now.
Gotta start to plan some itineraries for next week to Mallorca and Barcelona *excited* !

xoxo
